    A remote role that initially involved consolidating and applying a DevOps framework to a suit of commando designed systems. The project evolved into a complete redesign with c# api's & functions deployed and managed on Azure.

  • Senior Developer / Team Lead

    05/2017 – 03/2022 Paris, France Société Générale

    As a senior developer and Team lead my role was to design and implement solutions as well as liaise with the database teams in India. I initially started as a c# Technical Lead, working with a SSAS cube populated from an Oracle Exadata instance. My role involved building out the cube to meet new demands, creating multiple API’s to extract and control access as well as working on front end UI’s in React & Excel plugins. I then took up a Team Lead / Technical Architect position on a project converting the Exadata instance initially to an internally hosted data-lake and then an azure based solution. The project used Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Python, Parquet.

    ADM Investor Services is a Futures and Commodity broker for institutional and commercial clients. My role was to consult and provide feasibility studies on migrating the existing monolithic architecture to a more Service orientated / micro services approach. My Role was initially split 30% - 70% between training the existing developer and isolating and POCing some existing processes as services. Once the initial feasibility was proven my role turned to assessing vendors v implementing a custom solution.

As a senior developer my role was to architect and implement solutions, primarily concerning the consumption and aggregation of external bookmaker feeds for fixture setup and real-time market prices and match state. The role also involved training and mentoring of junior team members.

The role has evolved over time yet remained primarily a development role (70%) with project management / architectural guidance (30%).
